@AndyGCook This is exactly how I feel about @TransistorFM.

It felt like we started the marathon an hour after our competitors, and we had to hustle to catch up (just to get to feature parity).

Now we want to build some really differentiating features.

@ArtBoiko 1. I really believe in @smithtimmytim.
2. I miss Path. Path was privacy-focused but venture-funded.
3. A subscription for a private photos app (that can also make photos public if I want) feels right.

@Shpigford @jhooks Also, check out the DBX 286S preamp.

@MattGiovanisci says: "I donโ€™t need a lot of soundproofing in my room with the DBX. It has a very effective gate that cuts the room noise out."

@hfzvc That list feels pretty simple to me. ๐Ÿ˜„

"Removing an obstacle" is the simplest way to build something valuable.

In the beginning, focus less on the โ€œsomethingโ€ and more on the โ€œpeople.โ€

To build a "killer" product, you need to provide desirable outcomes for your users:

Eliminate obstacles in their path.
Give them progress at work.
Provide them with status.
Generate good feelings.
Remove future threats.
Bestow superpowers.

Replying to @DavidVII
@DavidVII @derrickreimer @r00k @CasJam @JordanGal It depends on where adoption comes from.

For a lot of B2B apps, adoption comes from the grassroots.

This means you have to empower employees to try your product covertly so that they can prove that it works BEFORE they take it to the boss.

@CasJam @derrickreimer @r00k @JordanGal Yes. Managers have an existing process, and they're going to be contrasting that with @ProcessKit. They'll be saying things like:

- "Will this work for us?"
- "Let's try this for a month, and see if we like it."
-"Let's use it for a small internal project first."

Yup, super hard to figure this out.

Plenty of examples of people who persisted, and won.

Also... plenty of examples of people who persisted, and lost.

How do you know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to run? https://twitter.com/tylertringas/status/1114912114739691521
