When evaluating a company's success, we should go beyond "how much revenue do they make?"
Other crucial questions:
- How much drama is their internally/externally? - How much freedom do they have? - How much stress is there? - Do they enjoy their work? - What are their margins?

A startup's MRR, headcount, press, funding, and growth rate can look impressive from the outside. But the most important metric is something you can't easily see:
@jasonlbeggs@TransistorFM@statamic@Netlify@tailwindcss@jonbuda ✅ Upgraded to Tailwind 3.0 ✅ Removed old/deprecated Tailwind styles ✅ Showed me new Tailwind stuff: JIT, Arbitrary values, etc ✅ Helped fix Git issues on my local machine ✅ FINALLY switched from using master to main (updated Netlify build settings to use main)

1. In Tumblr Dashboard, click on the Account → Edit Appearance 2. Click on Edit Theme button (same Customize) 3. Scroll to the button and click Advanced Settings 4. Uncheck "Promote Tumblr!"
@CasJam@ZipMessage@TransistorFM@buildyoursaas Brian and I talked quite a bit about how to market a product that doesn't have an established category that people are already searching for.
There's definitely a unique opportunity for indies challenging bigger incumbents; especially when there's some built-in virality.
