Being a college students basically gives you the right to ask anybody (leaders, heroes) for advice:

“Hi, I’m a student at [university], and I’m looking to break into [topic]. Can I ask you a few questions about your work? I’m curious about..”

Folks ❤️ giving advice to students.

I had the same experience with my Business Ethics prof. He was incredibly demanding and challenging, but it really brought out the best in me.

If I could do college all over again, I would:

- live on campus
- participate in more social activities
- find other curious, ambitious people
- take more philosophy, sociology, psychology, economics, politics, and ethics classes
- have more fun
- not be in a rush to "grow up"

Here's my take on college:

I got my Bachelor of Business in 2002.

In retrospect, most classes haven't been that useful.

BUT: I took a Business Ethics class that deeply impacted my worldview. I refer to it frequently.

That one class made my whole degree worthwhile.

I can empathize with people's desire to avoid doom scrolling.

Constantly interacting with bad news can lead to poor mental health.

Getting into arguments on the internet often results in stress and frustration.

But we shouldn't avoid uncomfortable topics completely.

That being said, having thoughtful discourse on Twitter or Facebook is incredibly challenging.

In my experience, it's been more helpful to bring the discussion to a podcast, live audio event, email newsletter, or DMs.

I'm all for positivity and optimism.

But we still need to make space to talk about topics that might make us feel uncomfortable.

Discussing a difficult issue (like climate change, racism, sexism, pandemic response) in public shouldn't be labeled as "negativity" or "complaining"

I've got a projects folder with over 100 old projects.

Most of these failed.

And a few of them got me to where I am today.

What's surprising is how often I refer back to these old projects (and what I learned) to inform what I'm doing today.

It's my personal resource library.

Do I know anyone at @Netlify @NetlifySupport that could help me out?

We have a few EU folks who can't access http://transistor.fm because it says our cert has expired. But Netlify says it's up-to-date.

Is it possible some Netlify edge nodes weren't updated with the new cert?

You’d have to replicate the feed somehow (because we don’t allow the importing of the same feed twice)

Probably best to just reach out to our support and get us to make three different copies of your feed for you. 👍
