@speakguarani Oh definitely.

I feel like I’ve (finally) figured out a way of learning programming that works for me.

And, as aforementioned, I’m learning tons about my internal mental & emotional health. 👍

@heysirajum I had multiple crises in my 30s. It was definitely a hard decade.

I think I made it a lot harder on myself because I didn’t evaluate some of my foundational beliefs sooner.

@vernbot Nice! Getting out in the snow.

(We’ve just been hiding inside watching Netflix and playing Minecraft)

@EliusSantos The biggest daily practice for me is walking about 1 hour a day, and limiting calories (typically skipping breakfast, drinking black coffee and water in the morning and not eating in the afternoon until I’m hungry).

@Aazarshad My physical health feels pretty good overall. A bit more stiff, but nothing major (yet).

I’ve found that daily exercise (walks) works the best for me.

@jongold My back just started hurting (and I’m 40).

Whenever I bend over to tie my boots I have to grunt now...

@robfitz Oh nice. I like this framing.

(I’d tweak it a bit to say “more meritocratic,” since your historic advantages like network contacts + financial cushion continue to play a role in success)

Is this from something you wrote?

@jtwebman More in the sense of still being indie, without (really) being beholden to anyone else.

@RaulOnRails @joerogan There's a lot of passive engagement you get on podcasts.

Sure, right now there's a lot of "real-time" engagement on Clubhouse (and I love it too!), but the excitement (and engagement) with a new platform rarely lasts.

I think we should enjoy Clubhouse now (while it's hot).

Can you give me examples of the no-code / design communities you've joined?

@saranosocks What do you feel is missing?

In terms of size, what seems ideal? What would you want the focus to be?

Would you like to see something on a different platform? (Discord, Slack, forums?

@N0RESP0NSE It really depends on the context, but if you're brand new (and untrusted) and you're charging more than a trusted incumbent, I think it's going to be harder to make sales.

Replying to @kylegawley
@kylegawley It has to be both "a lower price" and "more value."

@crisp_im is significantly less than Intercom, but I tried the product and everything feels really high quality.

This idea that consumers automatically determine something that is "low price" to be "low value" isn't true.

@0xholman I think there are opportunities in certain industries to offer niche software, for sure.

But even those need to be priced competitively.

For example, @endcrawl provides software for film credits. But a major draw has to be that it's faster + cheaper than doing it the old way.

@HighFiveRPG My worry is that, with Clubhouse, they’re getting 2-3 millions daily active users, all spending significant time on the app.

Power users might be spending 8+ hours per day, but it’s not hard for the casual user to get sucked in for 2 hours per day.

It’s how he got those (infamous) spontaneous moments with Elon.

@scottmathson @JackRhysider Yup. We’ve already seen this on YouTube.

When you own the “means of distribution” you can apply downard pressure on creators, who are forced to compete for a smaller and smaller piece of revenue.
