Most successful B2B companies focus on professionals who are headed towards a specific destination:

- "Help me increase sales by 30%."
- "Teach me how to ___, so I can ___."
- "Take away my downtime."
- "Equip me to design better ___."

Help professionals unlock their potential!

⚡️ SaaS sales tip:

PERSISTENCE.

Case study:
- @brennandunn is my friend
- he told me about @rightmessageapp before he’d even built it
- I’m exactly his target customer

And Brennan STILL had to ping me about 20x before I signed up.

(and I’m happy I did).

Follow-ups work!

⚡️ Sending out a product update email?

Make sure you include:
- a description of what your app does: "Hey, this is PodPro. We help you get more listeners for your podcast."
- a "log in" button! Often I get an email, but there's no place for me to easily access the site.

⚡️ This same logic applies to software products too.

"____ for beginners" won't do as well as a product that helps an intermediate go pro.

⚡️ Courses for beginners often don't do that well.

It's because there's lots of free content for people starting out. Also, beginners aren't as willing to pay for training.

But folks who are intermediate, and want to become pros, are much more motivated to pay to learn.

⚡️ Unconventional teaching tip:

Most learners need to go from Step 0 → Step 3 themselves.

It's the intermediate learners who plateau that need the most help.

(They're also the most likely to pay for training)

Works fine for folks I have an existing relationship with.

But folks from my newsletter / podcast don't respond well to that approach. ;)
