Another unfair advantage that new SaaS founders have:

“Pick the idea you’re most excited about, because you’ll put in the extra energy and time to do it. This is why you often get the best customer service from new (small) SaaS.” – @asmartbear

"What marketing channels are working for SaaS?"

The first answer, as a base, should be SEO!

Nothing beats "intent-based searches" for acquiring new customers.

For tools, I use @ahrefs and @nickswan's excellent SEO Testing tool:

@dvassallo That sounds like a nightmare (for multiple reasons).

I think local juridistictions need *more* federal funding and aid for education; not less.

@dvassallo I'll just take one of those: education.

Won't that lead to some neighborhoods getting far worse schooling than others?

@eddieaich @SaraSoueidan I did!

The thrust of the whole piece is that he feels that Tailwind isn’t the future (and by extension, shouldn’t have a future?)

Most of his rationale comes down to stylistic preferences.

I think it has a bright future; and my guess is adoption will continue to increase.

@brent_bellamy @sontek Lol. Nope, just telling my story!

I realize it’s not for everybody, but for me remote work = freedom and optionality.

Judging from the numbers of remote workers moving to the Okanagan, lots of people agree with me. 😉

@brent_bellamy @sontek I didn’t say I worked from home. 😉

“Remote work” = flexible work

Remote work allowed me to move from Stony Plain, AB (where I had 2 hours of commuting every day) to Vernon, BC where I started a coworking office downtown (5 minute bike ride from my house).

I’ve lost 15 lbs.

@sontek @brent_bellamy I agree that remote school isn’t ideal (here in Vernon, our kids have continued to be able to attend public school).

But many parents I talk to have said they’ve enjoyed *homeschooling* (teaching their kids themselves).

@sontek @brent_bellamy Agreed that face to face isn’t going anywhere (see the following tweets in that thread).

But, yes: many people (including me!) enjoy many of these things. I’ve been working remote since 2012 and love it.

Brent: I’m way more physically active since ditching my commute.

@SaraSoueidan Ultimately, market demand for Tailwind (and by extension, the Tailwind skillset) is driving its increased usage and popularity.

The trend is already there. You can not like it, but there’s going to be a lot of webdev jobs that will require it.

@SaraSoueidan His primary argument seems to be “I don’t like this because everyone says ‘Tailwind is the future’.”

What’s wrong with saying that?

It is “The Future” in the sense that it will be:

a) increasingly adopted
b) a good place to earn a living as a web dev

@fortelabs - French words like “toque” are used way more than the American equivalent (beanie).
- Quebec cities like Montreal and Quebec City are what many Canadian cities aspire to be (architecturally, urban design)
- all packaging has English and French translation (cereal boxes, etc)
