A few things
- relationship. Have we talked on Skype? Hung out in real life? Been internet buddies for years?
- quality. I *know* @nickd makes incredible stuff.

Out of the 10 people I checked, most had opened 20+ emails from me.

None had purchased anything.

@austencam This is something I cover in @marketingdevs. The tl;dr is:

1. Choose a group you know, that buys things.
2. Observe, listen, watch for trends.
3. Identify their struggles: "where do they want a better life?"
4. Start offering small solutions the help.
5. Iterate on that.

First observation/question:

Often, users don't regret using the technology until much later. It could be months, or years, later until they realize a technology has been destructive.

How can we account for this?

But @thanhtpham has got me thinking more about how costs affect about profit.

If my profit margin is 5%, doesn't it take a lot more than $200 in revenue to cover a new $200 expense?
