Every time you experiment, you're making progress.

If you're operating on a hunch, you're likely wasting a lot of time and effort.

Make an educated guess (yes!) but test those assumptions as soon (and as cheaply) as you can.

Big guesses are expensive, and often wrong.

Incredible to see how resilient certain podcasts are in @ApplePodcasts rankings.

For example, Seth Godin's Startup School still ranks, even though it was last published in 2013!

My guess is it's a combination of:

- initial traction begetting more traction

@JamesCridland For much of my audience, the Apple Podcasts player is the most accessible player they have.

It's also the player that requires the least amount of explanation. It's a recognizable brand. Even podcast newbies know it's "a thing" and know where to find it.
