@gonedark Totally.

It can definitely work! I think it’s often like this in the dev market (where developers build things they want to use).

It can work, because “software devs” is a big market hungry for tools/education that helps them do their work better.

It’s a pretty unique market.

Yes, how you execute is a part of that, but the idea itself sets your ceiling for success.

@rosskay Here in the Okanagan, we've had very few new listings in the last three months.

My assumption (and I could be wrong 😉) is that if there's a bunch of stale inventory it's because it's the "leftovers" (less desirable properties).

That "30%" could become "5%" with new inventory.

@rosskay We need way more context for this:

- what types of properties? (condos, vacant lots, houses?)
- is one region more represented? (Langley, CoV)
- how fast did the other 60% of properties moving?

Is it possible that all the quality properties sold before Xmas? (Leftovers)

For people who co-host these types of podcasts, the biggest benefit is that it’s like regular therapy!

I often say: I would do my show with @jonbuda even if no one was listening, because it’s so healthy for us as individuals. 🥰

@andreasjonssonn I understand the “zen-ness” of that; but the actual destination matters quite a bit.

@shaisc Gotcha.

For me, it’s more helpful to label that as “finding meaning in difficult times.”

That meaning has definitely given me the will to persist when things are hard.

(Although, sometimes “persisting” has meant changing my destination)

@ianlandsman Ironically, with Transistor, it’s the enterprise customers that pursue us the most!

They’re the ones sending multiple emails, asking me to “please sign the agreement,” and pushing the process forward.

@atalduwaisan When you have tons of funding or a massive following, you can sometimes influence customer demand.

ie. Kanye West can create demand for Yeezy.

However, even if you have influence, it often doesn't work.

ie. Casey Neitat and Beme.

@Shpigford Sadly.

I can see why many parent opt for homeschooling (but we’ve never quite been up for that).

I’ve have one of our kids in private school now. I wish that we could just use the public system... but the private system (so far) has been significantly better.
