For example, I have a multisite that has tons of user permissions and states in the DB. Need to make sure all of that transfers over.

I want a UI that just handles it for me.

I've used Delicious Brains in the past, but I wish it hooked directly into Forge

1. Podcasting – @productpeopletv started with a few listeners, and grew from there.

It really helps to partner with someone who has a big audience or interview folks who have a following.

Showing up every week helps (especially in the 1st year).

For show notes, I write them as I go. Sometimes I'll transcribe a portion of the podcast in Descript and include that too. 👌

One thing is that the consumption patterns of adults seem to matter *less.*

For example, podcasting is still very very niche. It's currently playing a relatively small role in the overall culture.

But the Reddit homepage? That's huge.

@SamuelHulick Yes! I've seen it. I think that's a big deal (how the algorithms negatively affect kids).

But I'm also thinking about how kids' internet habits affect us (as adults).

Here's what's important to understand: right before puberty, a child's prefrontal cortex starts to develop. This is the part of the brain that manages common sense and impulses.

Basically: kids aren't adults yet, and are still maturing.

Also, advice without trust is often "drive-by" advice from parties who aren't fully invested in the problem.

a) It's going to take awhile to hit a scale where you can pay yourself (it took Basecamp 2 years)
b) For many folks, not getting paid for months (or years) isn't realistic
