@okproductive If I've just had "catch up" sleep (longer than 8 hours), I'll really need coffee. 😜

I try to get back into my regular routine:
1. Jump on my bike
2. Head to @ratiovernon
3. Drink coffee and interact with other folks
4. Get to my desk and start working

@thatbberg oh this definitely applies to me, but even with “less scary” shows like Stranger Things 😱

@LandonB32 Yes, the flipside is a bad customer service experience (no response, or a response that takes a long time).

It's hard for me to invest in tech/experiences that haven't personally delighted me. When I experience an awesome bot chat, I might change my mind!

@LandonB32 @TransistorFM I can't remember the last time someone said: "I had a delightful conversation with a chatbot."

Anecdotally, I'm only going to that chat widget when I need to talk to a human (after I've exhausted the help docs).

@robgough Dang! I didn't get to this one.

Simply: we needed to focus all of our time and attention on Transistor.

We still like the idea, but it's definitely on the back burner now.

@mattwensing Yup, this is true!

Keeping 100% of your equity might work better for you in the long run. 👌

And hiring can be a great option if you have the cash to do it. 👍

Granted, if you would rather hire an employee, that's a good option too.

It's less risky, in the sense that you're not "getting married" to someone for a long time.

For bootstrappers, it can be harder, because you'll need to have a way of paying someone when you're cash poor.

@scottbolinger Probably tricky to quantify that.

I think "wrong people" is a common reason companies die though (whether that's a bad hire or a bad co-founder).

@nlemsieh @statamic Perhaps I'm being unfair in my comparison but still feels like it's more work to get WordPress to go fast.

WP has architecture issues that are hard to get around.

For example, for JS WP still relies on:
- React (Gutenberg)
- Backbone.js (Media Manager)
- jQuery (legacy code)

@ideasasylum I'm saying, this is a mistake "new" comics make.

They'll start by playing to their friends, but realize later that their material isn't as good as they thought it was.

@carbonology_ Yes! Exactly.

It really does remind me of standup comics, who try to test their material on complete strangers to prove that it really is funny.

@DrewRoberts Soda Water has zero grams of sugar.

And I get "just a splash" of cranberry juice. (3.8 grams of sugar per ounce of juice)
