@taylorotwell This summer, a recent CompSci grad approached me looking for work.

I decided to give him a summer job. He'd mostly used React.

The goal was to see if he could build a full SaaS using @laravelphp, @LaravelLivewire, @tailwindcss for the first time.

He did it in 6 weeks. 🤯

This is how Laravel will win. 💯

Early on, @taylorotwell benefited from a transport company in Little Rock taking on juniors and later from @ianlandsman hiring him at Helpspot.

Millions of businesses depend on PHP; many actively use (or want to switch to) Laravel.

I wonder if this is more of an issue of brand awareness. (React gets more PR than Laravel)

This data from @tobias_petry confirms something I've previously observed:

Laravel has a pipeline problem: young devs aren't learning @laravelphp in bootcamps or college. (They're learning JavaScript, React, Next.js, etc)

What are some creative ways to fix this?
