Front-end devs: "I'll make your Bootstrap app look better" is a great sales pitch for 90% of new web apps.

@nathanallotey For me, buying the domain name, and quickly building a site is a quick way to take a step forward, and see "how it feels." If it feels good, I keep going.

When I was growing up, good stuff was hard to find. We had to hunt for 'zines downtown. We bought bootleg mixtapes. We stayed up late to watch your favorite band on SNL.

Initially, having access to all these cool blogs, vlogs, and podcasts felt amazing.

Now, people are tired.

You have to close the sale while it's "top of mind" for the customer.

Don't implement a 30-day sales cycle, when the customer needs to make a decision today.

Some products are only bought within a certain window.

Example:
"I have a test next week, and I need to prepare."
"My taxes are due."
"I just got a job offer."

If you don't make the sale within that window... you don't get the sale.

@drewwilson @toddo Lots of steps need to happen here:

1. Easier way to acquire crypto
2. Easier way to store + access crypto
3. Easier way to spend crypto

All of this needs to be accessible on the consumer & retailer side.

I’m still skeptical.

@toddo @drewwilson Do you think people will start spending crypto? Unless there’s a stable price, it feels like people will hold (or dump).

Also: I’m pretty technical, and I find acquiring, holding, and trading crypto *very* confusing.

“Serendipity” is close but not quite right.

A word that describes “an environment that leads to a particular success.”

For example, was Nirvana’s success “serendipity” or a product of that moment in time?

@rkcudjoe It really depends on the group.

It’s one reason that folks who are already in the group tend to win.

They observe the struggle their peers are having, and then do something about it.
