☝️ the only validation that really matters.

Another question to ask about that product you're building:

"How motivated is the customer to solve this problem?"

We're setting it up on our new SaaS project, and having trouble.

When you see a successful business, and you try to replicate their success, you're missing the #1 thing that made them successful:

They built a connection with their customers, and grew their understanding of what their customers needed.

When you're focused on someone else's results, you're seeing none of the work + decisions that went into those results.

"[This person] was successful so I'm going to copy what they did and be successful too."

☝️ this almost never works.

Most of the unsubscribes had come from sites like AppSumo, Product Hunt, etc...

Those sites can drive traffic, but the subscribers are a lot more fickle.

Out of the 10 people I checked, most had opened 20+ emails from me.

None had purchased anything.

A few folks just unsubscribed from my newsletter (http://justinjackson.ca/newsletter).

This is healthy for the list!
