For the "stay in your lane" folks:

Politicians directly impact a bootstrapper/solo-founder's ability to compete, hire talent, and get health insurance.

A speedy COVID recovery is dependent on the President's ability to lead and govt stability. Right now, you have neither.

Republicans: vote him out.

If he was your CEO, you would be embarrassed to hear him speaking like this.

Plus: he's a terrible conservative! He doesn't live out any Christian values. Fiscally, he's abysmal.

All politicians are shades of grey, but Trump is truly awful.

It's challenging for an indie bootstrapped SaaS to compete in the SEO channel.

Trying to figure out @TransistorFM's next steps to level-up our game.

Guessing we'll need to get creative!

Question (for folks who don't have a podcast):

If you were going to start one, what would you type into Google?

(Can you actually search those terms for me on Google? Which link would you click first?)

Where have all the WordPress developers gone?

At one point in time, every local market had a handful of devs who focused on building and maintaining WP sites.

Increasingly, I’m hearing that they’re hard to find. Just me? What happened?

Have they all gone “upstream?”

I’m trying to teach you how to recognize the shape of a good wave. 🌊

It’s up to you to find a good wave that your matches your skill, personality, and experience. 🏄🏄‍♂️

Which opportunities do *you* see, that others might be missing?

My perspective doesn’t matter as much; because if I see opportunities (that I’m well suited for) then I’ll pursue them myself. 😄

The key question is: which opportunities do *you* see, that others might be missing?

Sometimes we hold on to things that *aren't working* because it's all we have going.

But, we do things (mostly) so our families can have a better life.

If that business/relationship/commitment isn't serving that purpose, it's not worth pursuing!

It's hard to let go of things in our life that are already in motion (businesses, relationships, commitments, habits, lifestyle, schedule).

But, if these things are continually grinding you down, it's time to let go of (or reconfigure) them so that you get the margin you need.

We gave up trying to find a long-range EV that would fit the full family.

We replaced our Honda Fit (that we used for most trips) with a Model 3.

But we kept our mini-van for trips where we need everyone in the same vehicle.

It’s still a pretty compelling paradigm shift for me (as someone who’s previously looked at UBI as a possible solution for some of our socio-economic ills).

The idea of giving businesses grants, but clawing them back if they fire people, seems 👍

Previously, I thought this way: "the govt is either playing with supposed “taxpayer money” or “burdening our grandchildren.""

But now I'm chewing on this:

"In reality, the govt always spends money into private circulation and then it taxes it back out after the fact."
